Here we present you the complete Nike "Back To School" pack. This package, like the Fantastic 4 package, includes several shoes that each represent something individually in a theme. This package includes the “Notebook” Dunk High, “Elmers Glue” Air Max 90, and the “Crayon” Vandal High. ADDICT - New Era

UK-based apparel label ADDICT just released an new addition - 59FIFTY New Era in 100% cotton. The new cap features the ADDICT Icon Check pattern, in an all-over print. Currently available at the ADDICT online store.

Today we are glad to present you a new brand that will soon hit the market and that we are pretty excited about - Aprix. Founded by Brendon Babenzien, Creative Director of Supreme and Michael Power, Writer/Director, Aprix takes a different route than most other new sneaker/shoe companies out there.
Aprix is based around trivial pursuits. Sailing, racing, and in the future an overall casual look will drive the future designs. Here you see their first model, which is mostly made up of cotton, suede and a gum sole. You can definitely see the sailing background in the design. The shoe is not loud, does not jump into your eyes right away, but it is solid, nice and fits pretty much anything one could ever wear.
Brendon puts it this way - "It is not meant to be a big deal and we certainly are not looking to try and make any kind of fashion statement. We are just making shoesthat we like and that we think can stand the test of time. One of the most important things for us is that a customer can look back at their purchase and feel like they made a good choice, even after they have outgrown the frenetic consumerism of youth."
Keep an eye on the brand. The brand plans to have 4 styles by 2008 and is also working on some accessory lines for the future.

Hey Hey its Heyday

Heyday Footwear is abrand that has just recently caught my eye. Som interesting patterns and takes on the regular construction of footwear.

Check these out... Vulcanised Winger shoes with some neat themes. The use of untrimmed over edged on panels to allow the materials to break down and add charachter to the shoe. Clever use of bumpers on the heel rather than the toe offset the design. Awesome use of Cracked/destressed suedes and action leathers. contrast stitching and forward coloring adds to this bespoke take on Slip Ons. Check the White Kelly Green version to.
Also these Slip On Boots look like a great addition to a winter range. again awesome materials, full cow hide and some pebble embossed treatments. Also check out the Brown/orange colourway featuring ostrich skin!

Just in time for summer you can now get the new Visvim Zahra 2-Tone. The name explains it all. The sneakers come in two colorways with each 2 tones - black/white and green/white. The entire upper of the sneaker comes in premium suede. Pics via Reinforce.

Puma Bike Tour

Puma presents Re-Bike, a traveling Bike Gallery Tour in conjunction with the Bicycle Film Festival. PUMA’s Re-Bike Program asked Puma partners and creative teams to create a bike with a mere stipend of $200. Each bike created was created with recycled parts and made safe and sound to ride. Each of the bikes, made by partners such as VICE, The FADER, ANTHEM and SWINDLE, will be on display during the Bicycle Film Festival’s US cities venues. At the end of the tour, each bike will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the local bike charities in the US and Canada including Recycle-A-Bicycle in New York City, Bicycle Kitchen in Los Angeles, Community Cycling Center in Portland, Bike Kitchen in San Francisco and Working Bike Cooperative in Chicago.
Definitely an interesting project by Puma, also with a good cause. Interestingly each one of the magazines also created a different type of bike, thus you will see fixed gear bike as well as a BMX and many others. Here we can show you now the line-up that was done with some of the best magazines out there. See all of them after the jump.

Graffiti in opressed countries....

I love this shit...

http://irangraffiti.blogspot.com/

No matter what.. it all ends up as SHIT in your toilet

The new PillCam ESO 2, a pill that you have to swallow to take images of your digestive system, has just been approved by the FDA. Now it will take 14 images per second during 30 minutes, with a 21% wider view angle and new Automatic Light Control for even more juicy and crispy details.

Vulcansied Footwear

Canvas is going mental right now... Internationally, its the hottest production item in China with new ovens being made daily to cope with the ever growing demand of vulcanised products.

This misconception is that these shoe are made easily and cheaply. The amount of variations available in construction are surprising. Subtleties from lining thickness to foxing height, and as long as you have an abundant source of graphics or logo treatments you can build anew style every day for a year till you die and someone will still be interested in what you've made, cos its canvas, and its vulcanised. :

So anyways... the new range of World Industries Vulcanised Slip On prints are going to be available from October 25 in New Zealand Discount Shoe Warehouse stores. priced at a measly $39.99 NZD featuring variations on Checkers, Animal prints, skull and cross bones, camos, placement prints, and some tattoo art.

Australians never fear, we're working on a range to be made available VERY cheaply through DFO stores.....

Construction is superior.... featuring a nice wide last and egg crate mid sole construction for added comfort. We have a moulded foxing tape which is taller than most vulcanised to keep with more recognised vulcanised brands such as Vans. The New Outsole will provide superior grip and strengthens the shoe dramatically.

Pics to come.........when the production samples arrive......

ahhh discount shoes have never looked sweeter!

get amongst it....

Consuming....

So another day at the desk, building shoes for the mass market again. I feel like everyday i am selling my soul to the devil, building these shoes that are costing us next to nothing and then putting them in mass production to pass onto one of the countries leading Discount Department Stores. Flooding the market again and again with cheap footwear has a place i guess... i mean.. someones buying them...

I'm loving these shoes by Terra Planna in the Worn Again series. Made from recycled prodcuts, army issue Vamp, recycled rubber outsole, leathers from aeroplane seats.
